Need advice on which 1x15 ext. cab

Long story short, I recently put my svt15 on top of my 410he and loved the sound. That got me thinking that maybe I would like 2 1x15 cabs. Obviously I would like another svt15 but I refuse to by ampeg on principle now. So what would be a good 1x15 cab to pair with the svt15 and a traynor yba200-2. I live in the sticks and nobody within a 150 mile radius carry anything worth a crap for me to try.
2 cabs I'm looking at now are the Traynor TC115 cab and the Ashdown ABM 115 (not the mini). Any other suggestions would be appreciated. My budget is 450-500. Weight is not an issue. And I'm not a fan of used speaker cabs. Too many horror stories from my friends and used cabs.
Thanks in advance :bassist:

maevinj, I played through two of Fender's 115 Bassman cabs and their 250 head the other day at a local music store.
"Very" nice.
Cabs seemed well constructed, steel grill, front ported, casters, good horn.
I was impressed with the way they sounded.
I think they had them priced at $299.00 ea.

MIJ-VI - Thanks I've been reading that thread for details. Maybe I"ll post in there and see if they have anything to add
Shoot-r Wow that's a pretty sweet deal for a 115.
62bass - Thanks for the input. That's the way I'm leaning now. If anything my traynor head should at least look good with the matching cab!

I like the Traynor because it sounds very good, it's well made and the price is good too. The fact that it's a Canadian company and has a great warranty further improves desirability.

That's false logic. You liked the sound of the 410 and the 115 together. It doesn't follow that you'd like a pair of 115s without the 410.

You have to listen to it to decide.

That's very true. I hadn't thought that far. I was just going by the fact that I liked what I heard since the 15 was on top and closer to my ear. I'm a tall guy so my head is above my amp head ,so i was figuring I must like the sound of the 15 more than the 4x10. I guess I'll definitely know if I get another 15 cab or can try another 15 cab.
Thanks for the insight.

how is it false logic? i play my V4 through 2 svt15's and ive tried it with a 410 and 15, it sounds very similar as the ampeg 15's are more punchy than bassy. just up to preference at that point. i like a nice 2x15 or 8x10 setup myself, never been a huge personal fan of 4x10/1x15

if you like both of those sounds, maybe try swapping in a 410hlf with your 15 instead of the 410. there's plenty of possibilities. go to all the local music stores or bands you're friendly with and test drive it all. I will agree however, that you definitely need to try them and see which combo of cabinets suits you best.

bigdaddyforge - thanks for the suggestion. Unfortunately my yba200 is only rated down to 4ohm even though I've heard rumors you can run it a 2ohm load. I'd only be able to use just the 410hlf.

fffreddy- Thanks I had forgotten about eden cabs. I'll definitely look into those also.

Rumors can kill amps & injure wallets. Please respect the manufacturer's specs.
