Need band name! (Sorry - I'm desperate)

OK. We have over a dozen songs in development; we probably have a drummer; we have people already asking about shows. What we do not have is a name.

I am starting to worry. Has a band ever broken up because they couldn’t agree on a name?

Bass, drums, git and male singer. Rock/funk.

I want a funny name, the guitarist wants a smart name, the singer wants a sexy name. Mostly I feel that we should have a name that doesn’t put a person off (too hip, pretentious, obscure, offensive etc.)

Fun
That you should let our singer buy you a drink
Maybe channeling wisdom from the other side
(Probably not all of those at once)

Names that have been rejected include
Professor B.
Dust Professor
The Sun Wields Mercy
Rhythm Emissary
En El Banco
Dr. Funk and the Funky Funkensteins of Funk (that one was mine)
Another Sky
Serious Trouble
Sonic Colonic! (also mine)
Grey Junkie Weather
Dead City Radio

The Bukowski references are the guitarist’s.

Please help! This is the best band I’ve played bass in. We have amazing music chemistry. I don’t know what this stumbling block is about.

How about 'Slinky'? Slinkies are fun, and it's a pretty sexy adjective, if you want to go that way too. And my kid just threw his at me 2 minutes ago.
