Need help about this Rare Fender Pbass MIJ

photo.jpg

This is a fender precision bass from japan.
Any 1 know more bout this in details?
What is the function of the 2 switches for? (1 is 3 ways and another is 2 ways.)

I cant tell from the picture what the serial number is?

If its a E followed by 6 digits its a 1984-87

dont know the switch arrangement the three way might be a pick up selector ...Neck-Both-Bridge and the other switch may have been a home job added split/phase

I seen a Jazz bass special with the weird angle pickups, but never a Precision

more info here on serial numbers and CIJ and MIJ

(Crafted or Made in Japan)

*Edit* here is the only picture i could find of the MIJ Jazz bass Special with the odd angle pickups

I had check it is a Series / Parallel Switches.
Is there a possibility 2 Series / Parallel mine Switches for 2 pickups? I cant find any diagram at the web. The weird part is, this 2 old skol Pickups only have a hot + earth wires. Is that a possibility for 2 mine 2 Series / Parallel mine Switches ?
I got this guitar to have a DPDT MINI SWITCH ON-ON-ON and a DPDT mini switch on-on.

Is DPDT MINI SWITCH ON-ON-ON same as DPDT MINI SWITCH ON-OFF-ON ?
