Need help choosing from fellow TB'ers

Hi all,
Right now i own a Washburn T-14,its got 2 style of pups,,jazz and p soapbar style,although is ok beginner bass,
i'd like to upgrade to a fender jazz,or similar. i looked also at a p-bass special (mex) nice tone,was really supprised ! There is also a local Canadian dude sellling MEX JAZZ deluxe bass (with active pups) mint cond with fender case for $ 700 Canadian,,(like $500.00 U.S) but i'm not sure about having a bass with active pups...

Personally, I would skip the Deluxe. I personally don't care for the sound of the pickups, and you wouldn't be getting that great of a deal.
