need help!- Facebook content

a few months ago Facebook said they were going to change my homepage (i guess that's what you call it) and change everyone else's too. facebook said they were changing from a "wall" to a "timeline" whatever that means

i don't like the new setup at all, and i have noticed many of my friends retain the old look.

is there any way i can change it back to the way it used to be.

I'm surprised you've made it this long without being switched. If your friends' pages still have the old layout, it's simply because they haven't been gotten to yet. The timeline swap will eventually effect everyone. (It's already mandatory for the vast majority).

My advice would be to embrace the change, do some searches for creative cover photo ideas, and express yourself.

i hate timeline, you cannot find anything your looking for, people post on my page and timeline eats it.

and what they're doing to band's pages is ridiculous.. basicly only about 10% of people who liked that band will ever see posts from the band on there wall unless they take extra steps to make sure its always shown.

That's how Facebook has always worked...you've only ever reached about 10% of the folks that have liked your page (that number varies based on a whole host of factors). The only difference now is that they're allowing you to pay to reach more people.

Personally, I like the new timeline (now that I know how to use it).

Someone once told me that you can keep from being switched over to timeline if you don't install any of the apps/games. I don't know if that's true or not (I avoid the apps and games like a plague). I still have the old style. I was under the impression that everyone was going to be switched over to timeline within a couple days' time, but that never happened.

Why is it stupid and less productive?
I really dont mind that, myself.

I feel the same. It's fine except for the two column view. Facebook will continue to change as long it exists.
