Need help: Just got first pedal

What power supply did you use to power the pedal??

What you meant by cut out are you using the delay side or the reverb side of the pedal? Did you try adjusting the pedal knobs?

Did you try with all the knobs at noon (50%)? When you click on the buttons, light turn on?

All 6 nobs are turned 50%, and Ive tried both sides alone and together. When the pedal gets turned on, its like the amp just shuts off.

Oh and its a LIVE Wire Solutions AC power adapter PS9VDC

Might be either the pedal or the power supply that has an issue then. Can that pedal be powered by a battery? You could try that to rule out the power supply.

Well the delay side works all of a sudden, but the reverb side still does nothing. Might just have to keep messing with it. And no, this one doesnt take batteries. If the problem continues, I'll head back to guitar center and get a different power source.

Looks like the 9V power supply should be fine, and it may be able to run off battery too.

It is a delay and reverb pedal...any chance the sound of the effect is throwing you off a little? It won't sound like a typical unaffected bass tone.

So, the reverb half still just kinda shuts off the amp when I turn it on. Im not overly impressed with the delay side right now, but I'll mess around with it a bit more tomorrow. If it still doesnt work and I end up returning it, I dont know if Id buy another. Not sure if its the sound I was looking for.

And it is actually a bit difficult playing with the delay in some positions. I find myself listening to the echo and waiting for it to end before I continue, creating gaps.

If anyone knows the song Sweet Disposition, the guitar part that comes in right away is kinda the sound I was hoping for. Couldnt get very close with this unfortunately.

Seems like it'd be an extremely complicated pedal for your first! I recommend exploring more of the subtle options (read the manual if Noisemaker has one). Crazy ambient delay/reverb effects to me augment other effects very well but they can be a bit hard to rein in with little practice.

i get a good sweet disposition sound with my line 6 m5 tape delay model,

the thing about that song is you need to have at least a tap tempo enabled delay with subdivision choices, it is a typical dotted eight or edge style delay.
you still can get the sound from a normal delay without tap tempo but your timing need to be spot on.

if you can record us what you meant by your amp shut off i bet we will be able to help you further, if you still want to keep the pedal
