Ibanez basses have always felt really solid to me I would definitely check a few out, especially if you like thin necks. Im picking up a BTB 405QM next week actually, I can't wait!

Don't bring your cash, check, debit/credit/ any other form of money until you've tried a handful of different styles of basses, and felt one that really stands out to you, IME when i've bought gear before really trying everything out it leads to buyer's remorse, eventually leading to new GAS
i was thinking of a Ibanez ATK300?
Have you played one? Do you like how it feels and sounds?
Don't be one of those guys who sees a cool picture on line and pulls out his credit card... You REALLY need to feel and hear a musical instrument to see if you'll like it. You may tell me that you aren't experienced enough to know the difference - well then, bring a buddy who DOES know - or a music teacher. If you're a newer player, then you are taking lessons (right?!?!), so if you offer your teacher a free lunch, I'll bet he'll come to a store and help you find what you need. Do NOT Trust a sales man - the reasons should be obvious... But don't be that guy who just gets on the MF web site and throws down based on a cool picture!
i think i got the idea of the bass but what kind of amp would be good, for about 800$ or less
what is the difference between a deluxe jazz bass and a standard one, bassesforthewin
