need information on a newly purchased Ken Smith

i found this ken smith at guitar center for $1,600 seems to be in good shape, it plays great and sounds amazing, has some scratches and finish coming off from being played. i just need some information about the series number #CR4j65896 and when it was built

All I can tell from the serial number is it’s a Chuck Rainey model, 4-string. But you probably knew that already. As ClassicJazz stated, someone at Ken Smith Basses can tell you all the rest.
