You may need to offset the pin towards the treble side, but you wont know how much without experimenting with an adjustable rig first.

It makes sense. So, in any case I will have to figure out offset angle experimentally, I mean, there is no way to do the calculation on paper and then just drill?

The problem is, the nearest professional luthier is in a town 400 km from me, so I`ll have to drive my bass there to do the job and I`m afraid there will be no time for experiments. At first, I thought, he`s just gonna drill the hole at certain angle and then I`ll choose the right length of endpin by myself.

The amount that the pin needs to be offset to the treble side will depend on the angle at which the shoulders on the bass slope downward.

When you hold the bass against your body like rabbath does, everybody's bass and body is a little different so theres no way of knowing without experimenting.
