I have Behringer BXL900A 90 watt ammp. It developed a problem- after a few minutes, it makes a loud pop and everything goes dead, even the lights go out. If I shut it off it pops again and then is fine for a few more minutes. I guess it's a crappy ammp, Behreniger just said "Fine, we'll send you a check" but since I have it, I'd like to try to fix it. THing is, I'm not even clear how to open it up. there are tons of screws, but not an obvious cover to remove, like on my compute . If I start unscrewing them, how do I pull the works out of the cabinet? Anybody have any advice?? thanks

need repair help in Behringer amp

If you don't know how to open the amp up - don't!! You'll live longer that way. It's not worth fixing. Even the people who built the thing don't want it!

Behringer has a warranty which they are very good about honoring provided you go to their techs. Before you open up your amp and void the warranty I would do a search for techs in your area.
Be extremely careful! Some amp parts can hold lethal levels of electricty - even hours after being unplugged.
Nothing wrong. Seems to be operating perfectly normally.

Stop feeling bad about it, sometimes our education costs us more than we planned. Good news, you still have a use for it!
Behringer service often works so that you send the gear in and they send a new one. Those things are not even made to be repaired, it's just not worth it. If it's under warranty you should get it repaired/replaced by somebody who is authorized to do that.
NEVER try to fix something that is still covered by warranty. And the fact that you don't know how to open that thing really means that you shouldn't even try even if the warranty is gone. You might even end up getting a Darwin Award

Thanks Kelly. I kind of would have thought that asking how to fix these things here would be a good way to learn - a step up from my normal, pretty successful technique of taking things apart and figuring it out from there. I didn't think I'd get a lot of crap about what an idiot I am that I don't know how to fix it. I'll be more subtle in my next post.
