Need some advice/wisdom regarding my Ampeg B100R

Hi there y'all, I tried to find some answers here already but my newb level of knowledge towards amps has made it difficult. I figure this issue is worthy of a new post so here it is. (Sorry for the long post).

I got this b100r rocketbass amp earlier this year off of craigslist for $200 and aside from the current issue, I absolutely love it. I run my Ibanez SR300DX through it and it sounds great, perfect house amp.

The Issue: When I tested it out at the guy's home there was some small crackling and popping and I figured it was just dirty pots, spun the knobs around and it seemed to get rid of that. I played it for a few weeks with no issue aside from some occasional crackle sounds. Then after about a month of owning it, it started to do this thing where the volume would out of nowhere would drop by about 25% possibly more and the sound would become slightly muffled as well. It goes in between the proper sound state and this muffled lower volume state pretty randomly as I play. Sometimes hitting a string a little harder will prompt it to go loud again but usually it regresses after.

I took it to my local music shop, they're always super helpful and have tested it out with multiple basses and chords and it happens with all of them so think I've effectively ruled that out. Yesterday they tested an active and passive bass through it and it seemed to stop after the treble was lowered to the 3-4 range. They thought it was something with the tweeter but then we realized these don't have one with some more research.
They have an amp tech who is apparently a master who works at relatively reasonable prices and said he could likely fix it for around $100-$150 with parts and labor. They suggested I do some research first to see if any experts have a better idea or to see if I could fix it at home before sending it to their tech as he usually has a 2 week wait.

I got home from the shop and figured if I keep the high boost off and the the treble low it wouldn't keep acting up, but within minutes of playing it started up again. I don't think my bass or chords are responsible either, I put a new 9 volt in a week ago and have brand new roland gold cables. It's really gotten to the point where it bugs the absolute hell out of and makes me avoid playing it.

Does this sound like any normal problems y'all are familiar with? I was also told it could potentially be that one of the soldered connections on a circuit board in the amp could have come undone and just needs to be re-soldered. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If there are any switching jacks on the amp cycle a plug into it a few times while powered down. Effects return, headphone out, even the main input. Anything that shuts off or reroute the signal when a plug is inserted (or removed). Sometimes the shunt gets corrosion or oxidation and the circuit "sees" said change as a plug being inserted. This is free and only takes a couple minutes.
