Your post sounds like the dictionary definition of a Stingray....
Why not just get a Stingray?

NS Design CR Radius Basses will do the job. With the EMGX pickups can get you the sound you’re looking for. If you don’t mind dropping $3k on the instrument or, just wait around the used market and buy them for around $1k. That’s what I did and it’s well worth the money.

Oh yeah and that piezo blend along with two Humbucking pickups full on is monstrous!!!

I had a 4h Ray and I hated the metallic clank and I couldn't dial it out. Although I hear the new Specials don't have that problem but I need that confirmed by someone who owns one.
