Really though, try and play a lot of basses before you buy. My push for you to consider basses not confirming to your wishlist is in opening you up to many different tonal options. Some of the old school basses with the OG pickup designs have very distinctive tones that are made to cut thru a mix well.

Ideally yes, I would like to go to a store and play as many basses as I can. However, Covid cases are surging again in my city (Mexico City) so, I guess I have to base my decision upon online reviews, youtube videos and first-hand experience from this forum. I'm used to that though, I've always been sort of a Hermit and I don't like people very much lol.

Understood, hope things improve in cdmx, it's one of my favorite cities.

Other than the matching headstock, you're describing a vintage Peavey Cirrus. I recently got my 1999 Cirrus 4 for right around $1000. Currently selling almost all of my other basses because I know I'm not going to play them anymore.

#3 g&l l2000 tribute. I have a g&l jb2 and that thing exceeds my expectations. The fit and finish if awesome. Haven't played the l2000 but I believe it close to my jb2 tribby. Amazing instrument
