As some of you will appreciate, i purchased some good quality cherry stain. This is very subtle on the cherry wood. It reddens it very subtly. I also picked up some red oak stain which is a much darker stain than the cherry.
I think i will use these 2 with the back and sides done in the red oak.
I have never done a lot of customization of headstock before, but i decided to try something on this one. have a look. the other pic is just included to show the location of the controls relative to the sound hole on the treble side.
