Does anyone have any experience with these basses? If so, what did you think of the quality of them? I think they look cool and the guy who makes them seems nice. Not much about them in the older threads on TB, so I figured I'd see if anybody has had any more experience with them since those threads. Thank you for your time!

Nothing helpful to add but if you happen to pick one up I'd love to hear your thoughts. Just checked out the Nelson site & I'd agree, they look pretty cool & have a nice price tag for a through-neck bass.
I owned a bassVI he built for me and his quality is excellent. I'd buy another one in a heartbeat once I get the money. Highly recommended!
Thank you for that info! That's great to hear. These are single coil pickup basses, right? Was there much hum or anything?

Bobby I just came across Robert DeLeo's Nelson PJ Bass that you built for him I love the the bass, been looking for a PJ bass just like it. I was looking at the Fender Duff McKagan signature but didn't like the black hardware and neck and its built in MX. Yours has the better hardware and neck, basically everything I want but Fender doesn't offer. Are you still building basses can I get one
Could you post a picture of this bass? I'm super interested in seeing it, and can't seem to find a picture of it. Thanks!
That looks incredible. I wasn't sure if he had placed a P/J set up in one of his original bodies or not. I'd want to see one of his originals with this sort of set up, or a darkstar bisonic pickup.

Hey fellows! I randomly logged in looking at something else and got notified there were replied in this thread. It's worth mentioning that I'm not the Nelson that made that fender-y bass. There are a handful of Nelsons out there making instruments so that's one of them there other folks.
