Double Bass Neutral Heads

I've had three different Acoustic Image heads - have loved them all because I play a lot of different instruments and the AI handles everything without adding anything of its own.

I'd love to know what's out there that's as good or nearly as good but costs less, perhaps lower power, perhaps fewer bells and whistles.

Steve, I saw the title of your thread and thought "I know what to post. Acoustic Image." Then I read your original post.

The bell and whistle I appreciate the most on my Focus 2R is the adjustable high pass filter, for both the pickup and mic channels. If that was all it had for each channel, I'd be happy.

Anyway ... Presumably others will chime in with other options.
