New 2021 Gibson NR Thunderbird!

What else should we be upset about? The 3-point bridge? They seem to be married to that design so I'm not surprised by it. But I don't think I've ever seen a Gibson thunderbird with a stamped logo before. It's pretty weird looking
Probably took the logo off the TRC so you can’t put Gibson covers on an Epiphone if there’s going to be a similar Epi.
In terms of configuration, it looks exactly the same as an Epiphone Embassy. When the pandemic is over, it'd be nice to A:B them.
Sparkling Burgundy is Gibson's version of the Candy Apple Red colour of Fender. It has a slightly deeper reddish hue though. The vintage ones have yellowed and faded to pretty much orange.
What fretboard wood is that? Really wish they'd start using richlite on basses if they're not going to use ebony

Looks great I have an Inverness Green one on order already.
At first I thought these were going to be the Simmons stuff but when I clicked on the original post I saw they are not...looks like Gibson is going to have a lot more bass options than they have in years.

No I do not at this point, I like TB Plus when they're in a set neck bass like this one, but they could use the Epiphone from the Vintage Prp model and that would be fine by me as well.
On the truss cover so people can use put them on their Epiphones.
Nice, I like the Sparkling Burgundy, now if I can resist the urge! I can feel my resolve failing already.

Uhhh, doubt that'll happen, the NR has never been a neck through. If you want neck-thru, Epiphone already makes a neck-thru version of the standard reverse Thunderbird.
Ah, yeah, then I'm in the same boat. I like these, but am hoping Epi will do a version that's more vintage accurate like their current Vintage Pro.
Nice step in the right direction for Gibson IMO
