The 10" drivers are not exactly the same as the current models, I don't think. How they changed exactly I am not sure.

[ Edit - For clarification, I believe the front- and the down-firing 10s are the same. Just not the same as the current 10s. ]

Yes I am pretty sure only the front-firing driver has the coax tweeter.

Here's some detail on the new woofers from the new AI newsletter:

We began with a new woofer design that maintained the low resonance and excellent low frequency response of our current custom design but extended the high end response of our existing woofer by nearly two octaves. This wider-range woofer, made exclusively for us, has a smooth frequency response from 30 Hz to 4 kHz.

With improved high frequency response, we were able to replace the midrange speaker with a tweeter which, when mounted coaxially on the front grille, allowed us to stay with a very compact cabinet.

I have a recent Focus 2R Series III (the one with the red buttons)
Rick,at AI informed me that the newer Focus heads can be easily upgraded to use the new Cabrio Docking System.
Just thought I would put this out here incase anyone else is interested.

The new Ten2,sounds like a very appealing sonic solution.

I can hardly wait :hyper:

It's simple, just two heavy duty thumbscrews on the back plus disconnecting the speakon cable, and it slides out.

I should also mention that there is material within the slide to prevent any rattling, it's a very tight and secure fit.

Oop, fair question. No, the description "sounds" awesome. I have not heard the amp. I am especially stoked that the drivers have some more high end coming through them. On paper it looks to be a great amp.

Oh, I just saw a production unit (I assume) on the AI site. It looks alot better than the proto.
