New Acoustic USA Line Up

I thought I'd read these were modern designs, not reissues; updated but trying to be faithful to the spirit.

I know that being actual amps, they can't possibly as good as a plug-in on a laptop, but is there really a need to start putting them down based on a tiny picture? It's not as if they have tubes in them.

You are indeed correct...

These are not "re-issues"...these are new updated versions of the originals.

George is surprisingly easy to get ahold of & (not surprisingly) willing to talk when you do! All I can say is, I wish I had the $$$$! I've been an Acoustic fan (& user) since the original ACC was in business.

Suppose it's all a big question mark as to real inerest to us until specs, pricing, and units are available to try.

My 370 was a great amp in the day though real competition was very scarce back then.

Not really. That guy always writes weird, cryptic posts with large text and poor sentence structure. :D

Hmmm....let me see....a guy my age working 18 hour days, six, sven days a week for many a moon trying to get an American small business off the ground and about to realize his dream....THEN goes home and jumps on the computer...

yeah, I guarntee that my messages would be a little strange, too....:D

I have had the privledge of having several at-length conversations with George and consider him a friend. I sincerely respect the man's vision and dedication. Does this ensure that USA Acoustic will be a success? I don't know. I have no crystal ball. I DO, however, know that if dedication is any measure of what it takes to be successful in the market - he will knock them dead.

I am hoping that Acoustic USA takes off like a wildfire!!

Go get 'em George!!

I've had my Acoustic B200 amp and 1x15 cabinet for about a month. I love it so far. It sounded fantastic with my Epi Tbird, like they were made for each other. I'm having to tweak it with my new broom, Ibanez 540. It's a different animal with the passive vs active pickups ,but still sounds great.

So where's the site so I can see what all the fuss is about?

I'd like to sneak a peek.;)

Hi Gibenbackerbass, The website you were referring to,http://www.acousticamplification.com/ is Guitar Center's "designed in the USA, made in China" line of Acoustic amps.
They have no direct linage to the original Acoustic Control Corporation, other than the name.

As of now, Acoustic USA does not have a website up and running.
The latest news can be found at the Unofficial Acoustic Control Corporation website and forum. Link Removed
As for a sneek peek here is a link to the USA 410 and the USA 210. The USA Acoustic Line has the look of the 1st generation Acoustic amplifiers, like the model 361 and the original model 261. Where the Acoustic Amplification's amps have a 2nd generation look similar to the 301/371 cabinet.

Why would GC sell an "Acoustic U.S.A." brand?
Only players in one country would consider it as some kind of bonus. Other countries might be offended.
GC would be admitting that their current line is somehow inferior.

Yeah - I don't think GC will be selling them. I can bet Acoustic U.S.A. will web boutique at best - if they ever come out.

I beg to disagree.

How come people in Japan Always want USA Fenders, even though ESP is "Better"?
How come people in the U.K. often want US Ampegs, but can only afford Hiwatts and Marshalls?

Yes, both of those are big generalizations. But do you understand what I'm saying?

IMHO. ;)
