New Aguilar 2x8?

The AG 700 head is around 12" wide so the cab is just a touch wider than that. It uses the traditional handle like the 1x12 cabs instead of the recessed metal handles used on everything else. Could it be a different speaker configuration?

Given the tendency of other manufacturers, a 2x8 makes sense. The front port in the bottom seems promissing too. Neo or ceramic as the others on the DB series?

I think they have shown it in other videos recently, not really sure why other than it is little and looks cool? Don't remember them ever being all that popular, at least not her on TB.

I like'em very much, never seen or heard about this model. But the weight, 300W@4 ohms, 95dB of sensitivity... not competitive these days

Much like the revered old tube power amp DB728, this Aggy cab is like a unicorn. If I ever see one up for sale, I'm snagging it. It'd be the perfect little bedroom practice cab!

I had a DB285 in tweed for years and it is a great cab stand alone. Especially great paired with a DB112 for a 2 ohm load, powered by a DB 359!

I had a conversation with Jack in 2004 about finding a 2x8 cabinet with an extra midrange driver (not a tweeter). He loved the old SWR Baby Blue and was looking for someone to make a similar cabinet. Aguilar ended up doing it. If they'd released it a few years later it probably would have sold better.

I don't know If I like or not this marketing strategy to demoing a new pedal with an old cab standing.
Don't know if it means...
"look, it will sound this way in any kind of cab",
or "look what we had the balls to invent, launch and discontinue before you knew it existed",
or "we make some kind of market-oriented cabs these days but we like more our past"
In any case, I like a lot all the Aguilar stuff, old and new.
