New Aguilar Model?

This is more of a speculation question but does anyone think that Aguilar will be coming out with a new bass head model anytime soon? Like a TH800, or a DB752 (with a sweep-able mid like on the th500)?

Does anyone have any theories or info?

Thought this would be a good conversation starter. Thanks everyone!

Well they did just unveil the lightweight 4x10. Personally didnt care for the 1x12 in that same product line. Love every db cab ive tried though. Just cant afford one! No idea what theyre cooking up but it would be cool to see a new all transistor class ab amp for those who cant cozy up to class d. Those ag500 amps sounded great.

Years ago they tried a run at the budget market with s series cabs. I dont think it went well financially. I had the s210 and really liked it though. Often wondered if theyd try something like that again.

I never saw or heard those S series cabs...you learn something new every day I guess. :)

While I like the TH500 (for some things, it's got it's own kind of voice) I have to agree with you that the SL112 didn't grab me at all. I haven't had a chance to try the new SL410, but suspect that the similar Bergantino offering would be more appealing to me...at least that's what happened with my 112 cabinet comparison.

They were not around for long at all. I think i bought mine in 2004. Funnily enough, a neighbor of mine used to work for aguilar and i mentioned the s series. He was adamant that no such product line ever existed (we were throwing back a few beers so that may have added to his steadfastness). We had to pull out the phones so you know it was serious. There was a bass player review on the cabs back in the day that sang their praises which comes pretty quick on a search. But yeah that whole line came and went pretty quick.

I agree that the updates seem logical being that they have had the same head unit product line for quite a while. I use the TH500 and 2-SL112 cabs for rehearsals and small gigs. They are amazing when it comes to an easy load in/out. They don't have the same punch as the DB's but for most applications they are super clear and dynamic.

I've been wanting the larger DB751 for a while, especially since they have the new SL410's, but don't know how i feel about having the set mid frequency, I would buy one in a second if they had that same option that i have on my TH500 only on the DB751. Just wonder why they haven't decided to make that change or if they ever will.

Pure speculation on my part, but I don't think Aguilar will be coming out with a new amp in the near future.
I'd love to see a TH 800/900 with two para mids, an aux in & headphones in and, most importantly, a quicker power amp.
I have a TH 500 and an AG 500DC, plus I used the DB 750 as my main amp for six years. The AG is considerbly quicker than the TH, however not as fat, supportive-wooly and warm. But this quick attack would be a great feature for the TH I think. The harmonic content is great, the rather slow attack is definitely a minus for me.
Wouldn't a bigger TH be in competition with the DB 751 then? Almost the same power, but much lighter and cheaper ... Hmmm. :eyebrow:

Best thing would be a lighter DB amp. Monstrous power as is but around 30 pounds or less.

I bought a TN500 and a couple of SL112s recently and it makes a great lightweight set up for rehearsals and small gigs but then went out and got a DB751 and a couple of DB112s and really like the extra depth/punch from this set up or the TN500 and the DB112s. Thinking of getting a DB410 for bigger gigs and I'm set. Thought about the SL410 but really don't like the tone on the demos on the Aguilar website (too 'boxy' for my tastes).
