Wow, that's jacked up. I know a lot of old retired guys who shoot for their main hobby, they go through hundreds of rounds a week. My dad doesn't go through quite as much as the most committed among them, but he still shoots a lot. I have a feeling like this would really affect them negatively, in the same way that a lot of well-intentioned laws like this wind up hurting innocent people way more than criminals.
Edit: Didn't see the above. That's really good news, if it's true. Of course, it's only a matter of time before somebody tries it again, but still at least it's been defeated this time.

With all that's going on, I doubt you will seen any serious gun legislation passed in the next 4 - 8 years.
