New Amp/Cab Decision! Help requested

Haha that would be cool if it’s the same gear! How much of a bitch was it to move the 410 around? Currently the 210 is a breeze. Taking all aspects into consideration!

Option 1. Ampeg SVT350 and 410hlf cab. The cab has four new Heritage USA speakers in it. So it’s essentially an SVT Heritage 410, 500 watts, 4 ohms. The head needs a new power transformer. About $150 give or take for the part and should be an easy repair.

Option 2. Line 6 LD400 head with two Hartke 410 Transient Attack-Transporter cabs. Each are 200watts (I think) at 8 ohms. Obviously more watts at 4 ohms when paired. All in working condition.

Opinions welcomed! Thanks in advance!

If those are your only options...stick with what ya got. Those are huge, heavy rigs that aren't as efficient and powerful as modern stuff. Not what you asked for, but THIS! IS! TALKBASS!

For your sake I hope it's not mine haha That cab took a beating for a long time. Still sounded good when I sold it though. It wasn't terrible to move but I'm also 6'4". Was nice on flat ground with the kickback casters. You could set the head on top and roll the whole rig around pretty easily. Steps were really the only pain. I could do it myself but was definitely easier with another person

Option 1 in the OP seems like a busted rig and a hard sell. Option 2 seems like a poorly conceived rig, since it won’t work with any less than 8x10.

OP, if you aren’t going to be gigging within the month, save up for something a bit nicer, or at least more functional. Even your current Micro VR with the cabs from either of your options here is a decent rig.

Haha I appreciate the candor! I do currently appreciate the portability of my set up. Slowly starting to think another cab is the best option.
