i have been a bass player for 5 years now and i have had the same crapy cteate since iv started. i need to get a new amp badly, but not sure what brands/quality/price to look for.

HI Joe,
You'll want to read up over in the "Amps" forum. There are so many great, decent, and crappy amps out there that you basically have to just start with your budget. Once you know how much you can pay, then go on Musiciansfriend or some site like that and see what they have in your price range. That way you have an idea which units to read about and ask about in the forum.
