Not true at all. There are still US made components of every kind.
Show me one amp that uses only American-made components.

...what I was driving at was if Ampeg were to offer this amp for $1500 USD I would gladly pay that. But the 2900-5000K range is out of my league. And for Ampeg to offer something less as a consolation prize is insulting in my opinion.
I don't mind expensive but won't do unreasonable.

thanks wolf!
hmmm, i'm seeing some big differences...looks like a 2-channel/2 input design like the thiele b-15n, a much larger dolly, and doggone it, i can't see what they're using for latches, but it's usually obvious when they use those big clumsy latches, and i can't see them.

dude, i told pyotr they need to lose the b&w images on their website, but i guess he's slow to change the look. they recently put out the best looking grillcloth in history on those heritage svt's and you'd never know it because of the b&w photography.Black? Tell me it ain't so.
Ampegs old VT series gutiar amps were some of the best amps I have ever played guitar through. If they skipped past all of the mis-steps they made in the 80's and 90's and brought those back? Awesome.
And yeah I double!

it's very much blue checker.
sandrine's pics are fabulous for print...very classy well thought out layouts (and save ampeg money in printing costs). but not for the website. i guarantee you they lost sales of heritage cabs just because they don't have a good color shot of that grillcloth on their website. i've seen color pics of it, and even without seeing it in person, it's the classiest looking grillcloth i've ever seen. even if you get sandrine to take the main headshot in b&w, throw up some extra color shots.Well, let's pay tribute to Sandrine Lee (Will Lee's wife), who did an awesome photography job for the Ampeg website. But yeah, you're right, black & white pics will never do justice to blue checker.
there is but you have to go looking for it elsewhere. and they're not official ampeg pics. they're cellphone and pocket digital camera shots from different events. So there's absolutely no place on the Net where that Heritage grill cloth can be seen in colour ?

you won't see it from the outside. but it's a double baffle. ampeg posted an inside pic on facebook where you can clearly see it's double baffle construction. It's a beauty, no doubt! Is this supposed to be a re-issue of a particular year? I don't see a double baffle...
