A combo is a speaker and amplifier in one housing. Your speaker and head do not make a combo.
Look closer... That setup bolts the head to the cabinet using a locking, sliding mechanism.
Combo is short for 'Combination'.Therefore the amp and cab together are a combination.Hence 'Combo'.Ipso fatso
This is an amazing rig. I love mine!!!
Genz stuff is great. The first time I heard a jazz bass I liked was through one of their 115 combos some fifteen years ago.

If you can take the amp out of the bracket and use it with another cab, and if you have to use a cable to connect it to the cab, it’s not a combo. I’m not familiar with that rig, so I don’t know the answers.

It's a newish thing that I also kinda made fun of- they just connect one of their heads to one of their cabs and call it a combo.
I suppose it's better in that they skip the extra lumber and weight, and you can always separate them easily.
