New bass amp day!

FYI, Gen Benz, Genzler, and also Quilter use(d) docking stations to combine a head and cabinet. All three companies call the result a "combo."

It is sold together as a Combination [aka Combo]:)

Early days of Combo's were always considered 'less than' company's separate Head and Cab's and limited in flexibility as are many today still

So company's such as Genz-Benz/Genzler/Quilter put same quality as separates together were head is incased/mountable to Cabinet and obviously removable so can be used with other Cabs [or Amps][flexibility]

Some like GRBass, GK, Fender and Markbass give same quality as their separates in Combo more convenient to carry but less flexible overall
but have traditional look of Combo

A combo is a speaker and amplifier in one housing. Your speaker and head do not make a combo.

It was designed as a combo, marketed as a combo, sold as a combo, it's a combo. It can ALSO separate, which was a feature that was driven post 911 where fly rigs started becoming popular. A bass player could travel with their amp on a plane and use house cabinets, as well as use it in the saddle as a combo where traveling with the cabinet was possible. It was also a solution for players who traveled via mass transit, they could leave their cabinet at the rehearsal space and take just their amp and bass on the "shuttle" to and from rehearsal. This is common in large cities as well as in Japan and much or Europe.

If you can take the amp out of the bracket and use it with another cab, and if you have to use a cable to connect it to the cab, it’s not a combo. I’m not familiar with that rig, so I don’t know the answers.

Sorry, it is a combo. We designed it, we get to classify it as we see fit.

What is a Walkabout Scout?

So did the Walkabout Scout, but unlike the others, it was quite large and heavy.
