got an SX fretless for my birthday. It is my 1st SX and I am impressed. the pic didnt come out great, but the finish is great and the sound is suprisingly good.

Congrats! I just ordered an SJB57 MG LPB (wanted this since the old headstock is going away). I have 2 other SX fretlesses, and consider them a great way to get into fretless. One of mine needs some replaning, so (along with a bunch of other stuff I've learned buying my value gear) I guess I'll learn how to do that... sometime.
