Wow, that's a great looking bass! I love the shape and tone (*color)... I gotta find out where I can try one of these near me.I would highly recommend a Yamaha TRBX505
Yamaha TRBX505 Trans Brown
Super well made bass, versitale tone options
Look in the classifieds for a used Fender P5.
And then look at how much it will cost to ship it to Mauritius!I second the recommendations to look at Spector basses. The Legend line is quite good and should be within your price range. I don't know if they're available in your country. If not, Ibanez and Yamaha both make quality basses.
$300-$1000
i play all kind of music
mauritius
Indeed, I didn't see this until later. I'd be really curious about how you get an instrument there as all, as it appears to be about as far away from typical instrument sources as you can getHEY OTHER TB POSTERS! Please be aware that the OP is in Mauritius, which is off of the coast of Madagascar. This may limit the brands he has access to.
@Vacas, how do you plan on getting this bass? Is there an instrument store that you can go to? Are you planning on ordering it?
Lakland Skyline 55-01, Sterling Ray 35.
as you say i want to adjust my sound directly on my bass without going on the mixer
Welcome to TB!
To narrow it down a little, is there any bass players or bands that you like the sound of?
Otherwise, it's pretty blown open in that range: anywhere from a Squier VM to a used American Fender. Some ideas to try would be: Squire VM J bass V, Sterling Ray5, Ibanez SG 5, Schecter Stilleto 5, Mexican Fender Jazz V, et cetera...
My advice would be to make a day trip to your biggest local guitar shop, and try every bass you can. This way, you have first hand experience knowing what bass feels good in your hands. Happy searching!![]()

After Googling Mauritius to see where it is I will happily deliver the bass of your choice directly to you!

That would be even tougher....Or getting someone to ship to a brand new user with zero feedback.
Or getting someone to ship to a brand new user with zero feedback.
It didn't before I asked.
That puts you light years ahead of most contributors who didn't read enough to actually discover the OPs stated.location..which is the tje defining factor for availability and price..
