We're still very early in the process, but Danny and I have identified another potential store site! The third time's the charm, right?!?

Ya'll heard about the first fiasco here, and there was a second one I didn't talk about that was less fiasco, but just as disappointing. Anyway, this location is the best of the three in terms of being well suited to our needs. It's got a finished retail space that is as big as our entire current store (which is only ~60% retail space). Then there's a back warehouse area that is 2-3 times that size, there's a dab of office space in another wing, and there's plenty of parking. It's still in Blacksburg, so our radar is up for any possible zoning/building code issues... there aren't any obvious ones, but that doesn't really mean anything.

I don't want to give away the location until everyone has signed on the dotted lines, but here are some pics of the unfinished warehouse area that we envision being converted to studio space, performance space (for clinics, recitals, rehearsals, etc., all wired into the studio, of course), and a dedicated shipping & receiving area.
These are probably 12-14ft ceilings, so the room is fairly massive (40' x 56'). One great thing for us: it's a blank slate that we can tailor to be exactly what we want it to be. Even better, it's all "private" space (i.e. physically separated from the public retail space), so we can build it out as time and budget permit.
Needless to say, we're pretty darn excited!!
