Well it seems that these are about as rare as sasquatch so I decided to go ahead and buy one:D

I have it stacked with the DB112 and this is what it looks like:

I just got to plug it in with the Shuttle and I have to say that I'm impressed with the cabs volume and tone. I don't think I've had a 15 with so much definition. It doesn't have a tweeter and by my initial playing, doesn't need one. Plenty of highs, lots of lows and I think it pairs nicely with the 112's mid bump..it just fills out the sound. Although playing everything together kind of makes me a little iffy on the Genz. I had hoped that with the added 15 I could back off the low EQ on the amp to get what I want but that is not the case.
I got the chance to play a Markbass S800(?) this weekend and really enjoyed the VLF knob and it's smooth, fat, low end. I might need a shake up in the amp department but the cabinets are for sure a great pairing. Once I get a chance to play out with it I can expand on the capabilities and the sound but I don't think I'll ever have a problem with these cabs:D

Cool! imho, don't worry about trying to back off the Shuttle's bass. This amp, for many (or most?) of us, just isn't one that is at its best with all eq points set at noon. Having said that, I do love the SD800 you mentioned as well!

I'm really curious to hear more about the Aggie 15 as you play it more ... sounds like a great cab.

Cheers,
Liam

Yeah I've always had to EQ the Genz amps heavily but I think it's still delivering a bit too much high end. I'm looking for something a bit more thicker than the Genz. I'm going to keep toying with it but I have a couple amps that are on my short list; MB, GK Fusion, and an Eden are the ones I'd love to try out with this stack.

Thanks for the report. I have a DB115 and DB212 on the way, so a very similar rig to yours (in classic black). I was hoping the DB115 will be balanced enough to stand on it's own, which is sounds like it is.

Got my DB112 in tweed yesterday...This thing rocks. I'm impressed by the volume and depth that this thing has, plus it looks unbelievable. Played it at rehearsal and by bandmates were impressed that one speaker could sound better than my Ampeg SVT410he.

That's one thing I was impressed by with the DB112 was how loud it could get. '

Got to play a DB115 briefly yesterday while I was in Bass Specialties picking up my NV610 - the DB115 is a killer cab and sounds excellent as a standalone. Plenty of top end and fairly balanced sounding. Mine will be here next week along with a DB212 so I'll report more in-depth when I have some time with them, but I can already say this has to be one of the coolest 115's out there today.

The Fusion is a pants flapper. I owned a GBE1200 I used to boost the piss out of the low EQ and I still could not get the punch I get with the Fusion, and I don't even have the deep switch on!

THICK,THICK, THICK

That's good to hear because I just bought a Fusion. I also went through both the GBE1200 but got rid of it because I just couldn't get the low end I crave. It was a great live amp because it really cut through but I just couldn't get it to really shake stuff loose:D.

I'm really looking forward to the GK though. Every time I go with a different amp looking for some mythical tone I always end up back with GK for some reason. I'm hoping this is the last time for this vicious cycle:D
