New Cabinet Day: EB HD210

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dl...ndexURL=0&photoDisplayType=2#ebayphotohosting

I have a wonderful bass and no amp/cab to play it through. Since I had some cash to spare, I was cruising eBay this afternoon and came upon this EB HD210 cab in essentially new condition for a killer price. I'll be pairing it with my brother's GK 1001RB head, so it should be a pretty damn good sounding practice/small gig rig.

Anyone else have one of these? Care to comment on how it handles 5-string basses?

I have the 2x10 and the 2x12. These are great cabs. I'd put them up against anything out there. I use them with either my Ampeg SVT 2 Pro, Ampeg V4BH, or my Demeter VTBP 201 and a 1200 watt power amp. They are very well made, professional cabinets, made with real wood and quality speakers.

Alone or together, they can handle a ton of juice. The sound and build quality are top notch. I think you will be pleased. I have other cabinets, and can afford most any cabinet I want. I really like these.

They sometimes get a bad rap, but only because of weight. Hell, I'm 53 years old and I have no problem lugging around these and an SVT 2 Pro (in a 10-20 lb shock mount rack case). Although my stuff is set up when I get there, I usually tear it down and wheel it into the trailer.
