Because the routing leaves nothing there for the screw to grab on the treble side.

Not a Squier body, but same difference.

Actually, my Squier mounted 1 just fine. There's 1/2" of wood before the route where I put a cover on with the stock holes in the MIJ guard I used.

usually like tort but that Shoreline Gold is begging for another colour guard..(imho)

Any new finishes are a great thing for the CVs...hope these (and more) get mainstreamed

So now that the Gold / Bronze CV Precision is shipping, I'm only seeing it on the GC mothership and sub-outlets.

Is this a GC-exclusive color / model? Or will it eventually go elsewhere? Not seeing it on any of Fender's pages yet, either.
