New competition for GK's MB200??? Traynor Small Block!

I did a tour of the factory and saw it. Its bigger than the MB500 but still really light. Same preamp and features as the SB200h if I recall.
The TH500 and the SB500h are two very different heads. The Traynor doesn't do that overdrive type tone that the TH's are famous for and the TH500 has a much more powerful output module despite its 500 watt rating. It's the same module claimed to be 800 watts by Demeter, Gallien Kreuger, Genz-Benz (900).
For this reason I'd bet the SB500h will cost 1/2 to 2/3 the price of the TH500.
I can always add a drive pedal....I already have the MBFusion 500 and thinking of moving the LMii....I have lots of drive pedals (on a quest at the moment..lol) so it doesn't matter if it has a "drive" like the TH.....I really like the SB200, but not enough power for me....would love to try out the new 500 watter coming out.....
Do you reckon its the same power module as the gk mb800?

excellent!.... I was in a local Long & McQ, and a sales rep came in to show the staff the new model..I was playing something else and the sales guy I know & bought the SB200h from, walked over and said "Hey give this a try"..sounded amazing and even better when the real pros from the store started jamming on it
(since I was one of the 1st people to buy the SB200H (see post #7 this thread) it was cool to be one of the 1st to play the new 500 watter)
Surely they added an effects loop and a 2nd speaker output? They certainly have the space.
It's quite possible. I didn't really look too closely at the back of it. It was months ago and I don't really remember any more details about it.
My guess, and it's only a guess is that it will share the same module as the MB500. I have not seen any output tests done on the TH500. I'd be happy to do them if anyone in the Greater Toronto Area has one and wants to run it up.

IMO it would be a useful feature. Typically when you plug something into an effects return the preamp signal is cut off completely unless the amp is designed with the effect loop in parallel and has a blend control.
I can't say for sure about the SB500H but the SB200H is built on the ICEpower 50ASX2 power module which can be changed to run on 220V or 110V. Some manufacturers like Genz Benz wire the modules up to a convenient switch to select the operating voltage. Others require you to open up the chassis and move a jumper.
Just like the GK. My MB500 has no aux in. I use the effects return with my upright preamp, but it isn't a practice rig like the MB200.

Still so much for me to learn about the ins and outs of amps.
As for power swapping, I'm cool with a switch. Actually, even a jumper wouldn't be a big deal, because it's not like I'd be flipping back and forth constantly between voltages. I do like that my EA little rig auto-detects the voltage, no need to worry about forgetting to flip the switch or that the switch gets bumped (even if they are recessed, hit shappens).
There's been a few times where I could've used a bit more power than my little 300w Micro gives, and I'd like to buy Canadian for my next amp. Mind, I probably only really need to get a second cab to meet my few-and-far-between needs for more oomph.
