New Dunlop Bass Fuzz...

That level of musicianship is frightening!

I auditioned the Bass Fuzz Deluxe demo on headphone and this new pedal really sound incredible. It's hitting all the right tones. I can't wait to put my hands on one and god knows I have a lot of fuzz! That will be my 13th fuzz and might well be my lucky number!

Any idea of the price?

I'm really interested in this pedal. I've been looking for a fuzz with a warm, subtle tone for awhile, and I was going to spring for the Fender Sub-lime, but I think I'm going to go with this seeing as it's 1/4 the size and I won't have to get a bigger board. Only concern I have is that it has no output volume knob, I'm assuming that the dry/wet knobs control that? Has anyone been able to try one and confirm?

Yes your dry and wet control the volume. You can adjust the balance between the two and the overall volume. It works well in my experience.

The Sub-Lime sound very good as a pedal but it's a huge heavy pedal. Tone wise they sound different too.

Perfect, thanks Laurent. I might just have to try both the MXR and the Fender to see which one I prefer, that said the Fender would would really have to knock the MXR out of the park tone-wise to make up for the size of it. I wish I could try a Sub-lime out but so far I haven't seen any in the local stores in my area that have one.

I tried one at the Fender Visitor Center in Corona. They had the pedal in a display and they were more than happy to let me try it. Amazing! The pedal has a limited range of fuzz but what it does it does super well and it maintains all the bottom. Some adjustment need to be made with a screw driver at the bottom of the pedal but these are supposed to be permanent settings or so. For the price point it's a good value.

The price of the MXR bass Fuzz Deluxe is out, $129.99.

Not a bad price for a fuzz, it's a much better value the the Wren and Cuff Box of War clocking at $225! That was an expensive and painful test. I resold this one but lost my shirt on it.

MXR is great at delivery nice value.
