New Eden Module Preamp - anybody seen this yet?

On my pedal the only noise issue I have is the when you press the Pre/Post & DI out level buttons in the back - it "pops", and it's not that quiet of a "pop".

The DI is quiet, and I hear no other apparent noise issues even with the wiring in our house not being from this century. Otherwise it's still a pretty nice pre, IMO. The only thing is that it is pretty big. You can almost fit a couple of pedals, DI and a 4 loop switcher in that same space.. or a BH250 head, which I currently use. So for me it was relegated as a backup.

Which one will resemble the sound of the old Eden Navigator?

I'm sure the Eden has a 1M ohm input impedance and will work well with a piezo pickup that doesn't use an onboard preamp. Today, most instruments that use piezo pickups contain some sort of onboard preamp (find one that doesn't) so it is hardly a problem anymore with any piece of musical gear.

Haha, tell that to the DB side! Acoustic double basses and the vast majority of the piezos designed for them do not come with preamps. Input impedance and preamp choice is a big deal for us upright players.

Thomann is selling these for $70 right now, which seems like a good price even with the international shipping. Anyone have any idea how much import duties might add, though?

Two more questions I have are:
1) What is the current draw? I think I might be interested in rigging up an external battery pack....
2) What is the impedance rating for each input? This is not a major concern as I typically have a preamp mounted to the tailpiece of my DB. As others have said, I would be surprised if at least one is not 1M-ohm or more.

I'm an upright player for 40 years and unless you are using an old barcus berry or polytone pickup, the Tera Nova input works fine with Full Circle and the K&K pickups that most players use today.

Does anyone know if the mute switch Mutes the input or the output of the pedal?

I hope when muted, i can patch the tuner out to the efx return and effectively bypass the pre-amp while still using the output section DI.
This way it functions as a pre-amp bypass switch or you could patch it through a second pre-amp and switch between pre-amps with the mute switch.
Or patch in the pre-amp section of your head and return from the amphead fx-send to the eden fx-return and switch between preamp pedal and head preamp without stacking pre-amps.

If anyone knows if this works I'l probably order one.

Headphones practise and straight to pa (no amp on stage) The sweepable eq is making lots of noise.

I faced the same thing when connecting only the bass, the power, and headphones. The issue was fixed when I grounded the pedal through the DI XLR.
