I really hope they are good so I can buy them and save some space.

Am I the only one who isn't excited by everything being replaced by the smaller boxes and surface mount components?
I dunno, there are two full sized circuit boards sandwiched inside the BMS. They'd have to shrink it down A LOT to fit it in there, and the sliders would be shorter and closer together. The BMS is only 2"x2" larger than that size box, is that so much more?

It just looks weird to me, like they're making clones of their own pedals. EH pedals have always been big bent steel boxes with big knobs, and seeing these just looks like another company to me. Plus, being a modder, the SMD components makes that pretty much impossible. I mean, when Behringer uses SMD people rip all over it (among the other things), but EH does it and they're the greatest. Not that I'm comparing the two mind you.

Is the difficulty of modding the only downside to SMD? I guess it would make DIY repairs difficult also.
