I got a heads up from Chris P Dekker editor-in-chief of De Bassist magazine, who is currently at the NAMM. Two of the new basses that Epiphone announces for the summer of 2017 are already being discussed in the Thunderbird thread (Pro Thunderbird and Embassy)

But this stunning beauty doesn't really fit in there:

It does come with a hefty price tag....
    $ 1665

I can hear what it sounds like, from just the pic...

The hefty price tag might be worth it if it's as good as it looks. Not that I could justify buying one, but it sure is beautiful.

All of the new Epi basses should be added to this thread. It would be very convenient.

Here's a link to the Korina Explorer that is still pretty new. Epiphone Ltd. Ed. Korina Explorer Bass

I have lusted for an Embassy since I saw my first one many years ago, but always wayyy out of reach. Clean ones are north of $5K.

    These look amazing.

Love the TBird as well, but the Embassy...and in white no less!!

Two thoughts on the Century Masterbuilt : first, the retail price is never the price you pay at the store or on line; second : I wish they (Epiphone) would bring back the Zenith! I own one, and it is a spectacular instrument.
That being said, I guess I'll have to woat until summer to play this new Century, and see if I come down with another GAS attack!

So far my GAS has been controlled with treatment but that NEW Embassy PRO Bass is causing it to flare up again.

Had both the Embassy and 60's T-Birds, all have been sold long ago(1989) to move to Texas.
Very happy I didn't spend a small fortune for a "real one" again with these 2 coming out!

    6 months to accumulate funds.....YAY!

    Tbird looks great.

I guess I'm going to have to get used to the "improvements" they made to the Embassy. Really wish they had gone with a batwing and left the body shape alone. That upper horn... yeesh. Transparent cherry looks nice, though.

Also, reading the descriptions closer, they state the tbird is a thru neck, but neck construction on the Embassy is not mentioned.

Anyone have info if the Embassy is a bolt on?

I guess these will be at NAMM so we will soon find out.
