When was this announced? Strange they aren't available at places like CME or Sweetwater. If they put out a flying v bass at this price I'd have to jump on it.

New Epiphone Korina Explorer Bass

If the reviews are any indication, the oldest is mid 2018.
I had one of those for a short while, bought on Reverb without trying one previously, as none were available and I wanted this gorgeous assemblage of woods, plastics and metal real bad.
From memory, sounds a bit like a Thunderbird, decent bottom and fitted my usual classic and 80s rock OK enough. Usual Epi quality for that price point, very well made. Neck was described as "1960’s” SlimTaper; D-Profile", which I found fairly chunky and not comfortable at all for me. Kept it a month and flipped it for god knows what.

Cool lookin' bass. If I had another 20-30 years of stage time ahead of me, I'd sneak one of those into the house.
I thought of that also. The tough one for me will be the Gibson G2 Flying V when that one comes out.
Hang it upside down behind the big flat screen, and tell your better half it's an antenna.
I tried for over a year to get one then when they finally had some in stock SURPRISE they raised the price and pissed me off, used ones fell thru, I gave up after getting my Epi Thunderbird cos who cares now? I'd still do it but the fat neck possibility turns me off since the 'Bird is dead perfect.

The price of $550 with coupon seems pretty up front even though the made in China puts me off. I decided to give it a shot. Worse case it goes back. It gives me an idea how the Flying Vs will be. If they are of decent quality I will have both.
It doesnt appear on their web page. Neither does the Flying V. All I can figure is they are limited runs.
Explorer arrived. Looks good. Havent had a chance to play it beyond tuning. Neck is straight. Finish looks good. It is a miracle it survived Fedex from MS. Exterior box was a mess. Looks like it took a hit in the middle. Pretty spongy box. Ill give it all a good look tonight.
