The only 3 basses i have ever owned are two american fenders(still have both) and a 4001 that i regrettably sold about 6 years ago. Anyway, my brother in law just bought an epiphone wildkat guitar on a whim and brought it to rehearsal friday night and it was absolutely stunning. it was a blem from musicians friend. I think he paid 3 for it. it looks and sounds like a million bucks. i was so impressed i looked to see if they had any epi basses on sale and lo and behold, they do. they have thunderbirds for 299, and one for 229 that is listed as on sale and a new product. its stock number is 518391V. the 299 thunderbirds stock number is 518391.
does anyone know what the difference is? the listed specs for both are identicle. i bought the 229 one in vintage sunburst. im just wondering why they are selling what appears to be the same guitar for 299 also.
