It's been a while, but I was messin' with the wife's fancy shmancy digital SLR for a few and snapped a new family pic!

That one Fender up there needs a refinish bad. I've also heard it's kinda heavy. I'm sure Nino could chamber it and refinish it in Paisley or something so it doesn't look so old. If you want. I'll put in a good word for you with Nino.:D:hiding:

But what is that on the far left? Do I spot some kind of monstrosity? It better have just 1 peg on the other side!

Oh it's real!!
And thats it's 3rd neck too!!!
The first one developed a bad warp, and the second one had a weird "Fender Flip" happen and couldn't be fixed.
So a replacement Fender neck was found.


Tom, I picked up that Sandberg for a steal (one of those "How much?!?!:eek:" moments. Less than a third of what they go for on the street).
It was hacked up pretty bad. The old owner actually pulled out the last two frets so it woul;d be a 20 fret neck- like a vintage Fender:rollno: Idiot:D I had the frets put back in.
He also drilled holes through the body for "string thru" option, but didn't put ferrels in the holes. Just left it a hole.
It took me a half an hour to fiddle with the old strings and get them out because the ball ends were embedded in the holes. I have ferrels now. :rollno:
He also yanked out the Glockenclang pre and had it wired passive (with a series/parallel switch on the humbucker).
And put a BadAss II 5 string bridge on it.
I have the Glock pre and original bridge.
And I think thats it!
Other than that, the thing plays and sounds great!
