Would love to give these a try. I currently have La Bella gold tape wounds on my custom Brook ABG, which required some work doing to the nut to make them fit (it's the 760 set). Might have to have another but cut before I can try these, but they are exactly what I'm looking for.
Seeing as these also work with magnetic pickups I wonder if some company like Fishman would be brave enough to make a sound hole pickup for ABGs? I don't exactly love the Headway piezo currently in my bass.

I have one that I've used plenty, just never yet with the pressurewound bronze. It doesn't quite fit on my Boulder Creek, slightly too thick, but it will on others I'm sure...
I mounted a set of the new GHS Bronze Pressurewounds on my Balor 5 this morning replacing the Chromes that were on it since delivery. I need to put some time on them, but so far I really like them - moderately increased acoustic volume compared to the Chromes with minimal finger noise.
Put mine on yesterday finally - loved the feel and sound of the Chromes too on this but love these even more - clips here: New Emerald carbon fiber ABG - impressive!
I've had a set shelf aging for a number of months. Finally put them on a P bass - looking for a different sound. They are different - don't sound quite like anything else in my little herd, but ultimately...not what I was looking/listening for. They do have lower output on an electric than other strings - not unbalanced or anything, but if you're used to other strings, you'll need to bust out a bit more gain somewhere in your rig with these.
Probably more suited to ABG's, which I don't have. I still love a lot of GHS's stuff, just not this one.

So on a typical fender J or P fretted bass would these last longer compared to other GHS bass strings? Also what about fretwear? Do they slap ok?
I liked the P bass demo with these and a lighter guage string with clarity, balanced tension, but not too floppy is appealing.

Does anyone have any experience with the acoustic volume of these on an ABG vs say, Ernie Ball Earthwood strings? I really like the idea of less finger squeak.
I have an Epiphone El Capitan that I play mainly unplugged with a pick BTW.

Acoustic volume is as good as any other acoustic bass string, in my experience (except for those annoying shrieking high frequency squeaks). 
got mine since last April. The surface is still good looking after 4 months, no dark spots from wear or oxidation (just yet), and still crisp sounding. Just like the Elixir acoustic bass string with Nanoweb coating, finger squeak isn't completely gone, but not as pronounced as the usual acoustic phosphor bronze strings. Hopefully, these would last for long.
Thanks for the info guys. I was just concerned that the round cores might make for less tension and loudness than other bronze hex core strings.

I have not done a direct comparison with hex cores but I have no volume concerns with these strings...
I'll revive this old thread since I finally had a chance to try these Bronze Pressurewounds.
First, I was surprised to find that they are not floppy since the gauges seem so light. They are super supple and easy to fret, but I wasn't chasing them around with my plucking hand. More firm than TIs - these are comparable to a set of medium tension 40-100 hex core rounds.
These Bronze PW do the "nuanced and subtle" sound that I was hoping they would VERY well. There's a nice flat midrange voice with no bass hype and a subdued treble response. If I roll the tone on my bass to about 7 I can achieve a really balanced and warm tone with terrific clarity & definition but no "zing".
I was looking for a string I could use for accompanying acoustic guitar while still using a P Bass, and I think these will be terrific in that role. Output is just a touch lower than the Pure nickel rounds I've been sampling lately, and they're a totally viable option for louder stuff, too- they're just not an aggressive string.
They're grippy right after installation, but that went away after about an hour (without cleaning or anything). I might be in the minority, but I prefer these to the standard Pressurewounds that I tried due to their ability to give a warm, subtle voice with character that has great low end clarity & focus.

This is exactly what I'm finding about the PW lights (40-54-76-96) I've been trying for the last couple of months. Very comfortable to play on, but without the uneasy loosey-goosey feel for plucking that I experienced with the DR Sunbeams 45-105 I once tried on my Jazz.
