New fuzz pedal from Aguilar

Thanks, I think it is. I've actually tried suggesting it before in a thread that was about what sorts of new pedals Aguilar should make (about a year ago or so), and Dave was even lingering around in that one...so I remain hopeful that it'll come to fruition! I even have it all planned out for them - the 4 knobs would be gain, volume, filter, and AGS. The only thing I'm not sure on is the name...but I figure some aspects of it need to be left up to Aguilar!

I miss my Octamizer for that filter control alone. The Fairfield Barbershop has a very similar function, but it's not adjustable like the Octamizer. It's a 3 way switch with bypass, filter some, and filter a LOT. Might want to try one to see if the amount of highs it cuts works for you. It's of course a low gain overdrive as well.

Yeah, I've had 2 Barbershops and a bunch of other low gain ODs, but not the one with the new switch. I'm sure it does sound amazing...one of these days I'll pick up my third and give it a try!

Hmm..so it would be a lower gain pedal with the filter and AGS. Taking a queue from their recent pedal naming scheme...

Aguilar needs to take a cue from Dunlop and make some demos of their pedals! This and the Chorusaurus need some good quality demo love!

Sounds good there actually. Seems real meaty and hairy. So many variables there though, including the mic placement which as you can see there can make a huge difference. Can't wait for a proper demo...and by that I mean on MY board

That demo is hilarious at the beginning- Mr. B twirls a knob on Rick's bass, and he just reaches down and changes it back without skipping a beat. Then the german sounding dude follows everything up with an enthusiastic "yaaah."

Looks like they were both making sure the volume on the bass was maxed

I've never tried a fuzz pedal, but this one sounds great. Maybe it really is my bag baby. Maybe the reason I've been searching and searching for the right dirt is because I haven't tried the fuzz.

Got mine today from sweet water.....sounds awesome in the living room, going to try it on a couple songs at a gig tomorrow night, maybe my solo in Watching the Detectives and I'm working on a nice synth sound with it, filter and octave for Alex Clare Too Close. Retains a lot of low end, the only other fuzzes I've had in the past were Bass Muff and a Bassmaster clone. This blows those away.
