New Gallien Kreuger MB 210 & MB 115 PART 2:

OK, so I returned the MB115 and got a full refund due to the shipping damage. Now they're out of stock of course, with varying estimated time of delivery dates.

From what I heard from the MB115 it was really, really nice. A variable horn/tweeter instead of just on/off was the only thing I noticed that I'd put on my wishlist. To me it sounded big and fat, with great lows in such a lightweight package.

Edit: found a MB115 in stock from another dealer, should be here next week. :)

Damn, I'm just about to give up on GK. Not that the shipping damage was their fault, but I got another MB115 yesterday, and the tweeter keeps coming on and off.

It's a shame, because I really, really dig the tone of this amp. In fact, so much that I am seriously considering getting a GK for my big rig, too. But most European shops seems to be out of stock at the moment, and I get a bit worried about QC after this.

In any event, unless there isn't an easy fix for the tweeter I am probably done with the MB combos.

Damn.

Yes, both new. I pushed the tweeter button a dozen times, then left the amp on for a couple of hours. It's been working since...just don't know if I can trust it in the long run.

If only I could find an MB500 and a NEO112, I would probably go for that instead. Out of stock everywhere it seems.

If this MB115 turns out to be OK, I'm happy. It sounds absolutely killer IMO!

picked up an mb115 this month, first gig will be this sunday. played a few 6s through it so far, and all is well. it's an awesome little package.
it sounds really great- it's punchy and tight, with gorgeous blooming lows. the weight is a thing of beauty. the tweeter honestly doesn't do much for me... i've been leaving it off, and am not missing it. i got used to the hartke kickback design, very practical, so i picked up an Ultimate Support Amp150 stand for approx $30, which is angle-adjustable. so far, so very good. i'll give a field report after the gig.

Is the 15" speaker a Neo? It's not clear from the product manuals though the weight would imply it must be...

Hi everyone,

I'm hoping someone can help with this the dimensions of the handle positions of the MB210 (I have just bought one, but there was no amp there for me to measure)

Specifically for the handle position on top of the amp in millimeter(mm)
Either side to handle
Back to handle
Front to handle
Length of handle

Also the height without the feet

Thanks so much!

Reviving a zombie thread. Hate all you want, but this is the best thread to post in.

When maxing my MB210-II combo, I sometimes think I am hearing odd happenings. I'm talking about sharper-pitched notes, specifically. Limiter is activated.

Is this paranoia or am I actually hearing this?

@rag , if you are around; I could use a trustworthy bit of advice. Thank you!
