New Geddy colour?

Locally there is a used geddy its in very good shape and he is asking 725$ i know that seems kinda higher but it is the first issue with the limited edition stamped in the neck plate and those models supposively featured real inlays i am kinda tempted to check it out but the price is just high to me

i am kinda thinking finding one on ebay is better

Yeah, the real inlays are nice on the older Geds but the older models also had crapier tuners than the more recent ones. I don't know, I just think that it is better to have nicer tuners than real inlays. Just sayin.

The Sunburst is finally a nice choice from "You can get it in any color as long as it's black", but very late considering he's been using his Sunburst for Dropped-D tuning since at least 1996 and a pretty visible motive to bring players back to purchasing one after the insane *doubling* of the price over the past 2-3 years. :scowl:

The (in)famous "Red Geddy" with it's Flame Maple top and Alder back is probably the only Fender model, were it produced, that I would pay Custom Shop prices for. It makes me extremely glad that I was able to pick up my Mike Lull Modern 4 that's very much MY "Red Geddy" with a Flame Maple top that's eerily close to his but doesn't have quite the shaved-down neck that's frankly too thin for my hands for playing over 1/2 hour, and at a cost that would most likely be a good deal less than a CS bass:

I wonder how many times this pick will be reposted.

I should have charged for the use of this photo! :hiding:

I took this shot with my Blackberry last year during the S&A Tour in Mansfield, MA. I was the winner of Front Row tickets from the contest on Rush.com! Such an amazing night! He played the Sunburst Geddy on the song "Behind The Wheels" in Drop D. The Red one was used on 2112 and Circumstances which was tuned a whole step down.
