New GK Plex Preamp

Price aside, this has my attention. Under $300? Done deal. Anything over and it's going to be riding the bottom of my list for a while, despite my curiosity.

Who am I kidding... drool

As long as it doesn't take many months or years to hit the shelves, I'll snap this up before a lot of other things. If GK dilly-dallies on it, I might have to as well.

I can't imagine with GK general price point, it would be super high priced. Although I could be wrong! Let's hope not. :)

Agreed, that's what I said in the GK thread. Their pricing is very reasonable so I cant see how they would change that model.

I'm very interested in this though affording it is another story.

Wondering out loud...
It probably doesn't, but if it DID send a strong enough signal out, like the "Chain Out" feature of the MB series heads and combos, (were those +10dB?) then this could drive any of the MBP powered cabs to.
Probably pointless, just a thought exercise
PLEX has a balanced output designed to drive our MBP cabinets

It is powering the MBP. The PLEX has a balanced output designed to drive our MBP powered cabinets.

Am I reading this wrong?
You plug the PLEX into a MBP, run your bass into the PLEX and you can play thru that? Sounds like it'd be real good for practicing when I didn't want to run the MB212 but just the MBP115.

IF this is what you mean, then I know you've sold one for sure.

That is exactly what I am saying.

Nice! I'm liking the idea behind this. So if your still running a DI signal to house and using the Pre and an MBP, I assume you take the thru (form MBP) to house? And one can always take the unbalanced line to an additional DI to feed an MBP to maintain a Pre EQ to House. I have a transformer balanced DI I built, I would take the unbalanced out to the MBP and the XLR to an MBP while using the XLR out on the Plex to FOH.
