New GK Plex Preamp

There is a 9vdc graphic on the top left. Guessing that a plug is an option? It would be great to have it standard. But can this run off of an internal 9vdc battery I'm wondering? If anyone is going to NAMM today look on the back side for a battery bin. Remember, pictures or it didn't happen. Also, someone is bound to cut an area in an existing bass where this can be inserted and used without going back and forth to another location. Or attached to a wide strap. Lots of options. Why did I suddenly get GAS again? I though I was past all of that!!!
No battery sorry.

The 1/4" output jack is balanced tip ring sleeve and can drive the MBP. The DI is still available for the house and can be pre or post.

This is a pretty amazing looking piece of gear. Lots of functionality and very well thought out features.

How exactly do the knobs work? Is each one controlling two parameters?

Also, can you tell us a bit about the compressor?

[edit: sorry, I must be blind! The OP graphic says that the USB is for MIDI in/out, audio, and reamping capabilities! BAD ASS! How did I miss this? Well done, GK.]

I'm going to guess no to USB audio. Otherwise, GK would be highlighting this as a feature, don't you think? More likely for other computer functions, or to provide power to an external USB device such as tablet/ipad/iphone. I'm interested to see the USB implementation. In my wildest dreams, I'm hoping that it is for firmware updates, computer editor, and to upload various different cabinet emulations (if they are using impulse responses for the cabinets). That may be going a bit too far, though. LOL.
Full USB audio in and out with reamp capability, like a sound card.

Each knob is also a push switch which controlls other features. When the feature is activated the knob turns blue from white. For example by pushing the compressor knob you can select compression ratios from 2 to 10. Each push increments the ratio and displays the ratio on the display.

This seriously the super box! Is the drive circuit a new design, or based on the classic GK drive sound?

It starts with the basic GK profile and using the voicing features on the EQ knob switches can be expanded in very useful ways. Also the switch on the master volume will acess several different voices including flat, 800RB and other clasic and modern voicings.
