Same here, it's a perfect solution for my needs. I suspect I wouldn't use it as much in playing through my rig only, but that boost footswitch could sure come in handy. Same with the FX loop.
The tuner is a great plus for me IF it's accurate as, say, a polytune 2. That would save me having to bring DI said tuner, so that's one less thing to plug in.
The aux in/out are a nice plus, and I was always interested in using MIDI with my bass...
I just hope this is sensibly priced.

It starts with the basic GK profile and using the voicing features on the EQ knob switches can be expanded in very useful ways. Also the switch on the master volume will acess several different voices including flat, 800RB and other clasic and modern voicings.

It's certainly a pretty small box to have that much analog circuitry. I'll be curious what @rag has to say about it.

They gave you photos, features, basically everything but when and how much. I'm sure as soon as they have it nailed down/are ABLE to do so, you'll know. Trust me, I'm sure they want to sell this.

The 1/4" output jack is balanced tip ring sleeve and can drive the MBP.

So how do I use this in my live rig? I'm a head/cab guy. Sometimes pedal compressor. I like my head but have a power amp and like the idea of having 800RB sound. Always di to house. Can I use this thing?

This just in from @wintremute reporting on his NAMM visit today. He stopped by the GK booth and asked about the Plex. "They said it will be released (tentatively) June 1st, for $299."

I know that would be the logical assumption, but that's using the output as a balanced and likely a line level signal. If they chose to output a lower level signal in unbalanced mode for some reason, it could be an issue. It seems to be well thought out though, but there are some "preamp" pedals that won't put out a strong enough signal to directly drive a power amp to full power. It could be an issue, but I like what I'm hearing so far, so I'm hoping it's not.

I'm sure you can push it right into the input of your head

If it can drive the GK powered cabs it should be able to drive most power amps, so you'd be able to plug it into the FX loop and bypass the amps pre. Or you could plug it into other power amps. I guess we really won't know for sure until they release some specs.

Just in time for European touring this summer/fall. I was just asking at an efx company I do biz with, about them making something that sounds as terrific as my old 800..and here it is. Will also be the front end for my powered cab/little gigs? yes.

One of my big peeves is the inconsistency of backline bass rigs. At best I usually will see some sorta ampeg product..at worse..I would do better to spit through a fan. But here's what I have been waiting for..and made in the USA by a real, non-bean counting company, headed up by a man who actually cares about what we sound like. And yeayeayea I am an endorser (lucky for that), but I could also do that for a few other companies as well..GK has my $$. Thanks RAG.
