We have spent a lot of time trying to reduce the cost of the poly urea coating on the cabinets but, between the material itself and the equipment needed to apply it to the cabinets, it is just a very expensive material to work with. While I firmly believe it is a superior coating, it does drive the cost of the cabinets up considerably. And the bigger the cabs get, the more expensive that coating becomes. Doing the poly on a cab the size of an 810 cab would drive the cost of that cab almost $200 higher than that of a standard covering. We understand money is tight for everyone right now, so in the interest making the cabinets as affordable as possible, we have decided to go with a carpet covering for the cabs as the standard finish.
