Which logo? There is a sewn on red tag and I guess a metal G. Neither are going anywhere unless you put effort into removing them.
I meant the Ibanez logo on the body at the fretboard looks like with a razor I could peel them off
Huh, couldn't really tell from most pictures that it's raised. On the premium versions they're laser etched into the wood.
Nice. Let me know how your install goes, been dealing with getting the grounding right with mine. Was fine, then I had to change pickups and gotta get it sorted again. My favorite preamp, but I really wish they used a standard grounding method (soldered wire) instead of copper shield contact at the mounting point.
I was thinking about that too... there's the ground lead through the body to the bridge I left long so I could use a ground from the jack to that? But the JE papers say to ground the pot to copper shielding
Yup, you need to run shielding, solder the ground from jack and bridge/ pups to that. I went for it and shielded the entire thing while it was apart, including pickup cavities. Took a long time to figure out how to make the pre fit, was going to leave in the toggle switch but not enough room.
Ended up (L-R looking down in playing position) volume, pull/ passive tone, mid stack, bass/ treble stack.
Yea super tight fit... I didn't have shielding on hand so I went for it tried to use the little wire. It didn't work. I get sound with the push pull in "active" mode but the EQ does nothing and the tone does very little.

Well, after much failure, anxiety, frustration, late nights, and finally really quick trip to GC to help me find my grounding issue... the John East is in and HOLY COW!. It really filled out the tone and made everything sound much heavier. Not in the metal sense, although I will play a lot of that. It has a ton of versatility and you can control so (maybe too) much of your EQ on board.

If you can suffer through my crap playing I recorded a clean straight to amp and a dirty demo. I am brand new to recording so this is a shure m57 into an AXE i/O into my daw. I just hit record and hit stop. I don't know anything about mastering or editing.
